Infant Resuscitation Training 2016

Dr. Ellen Sigley Losew was able to travel to Burundi with the EFC-MAYM Saltshaker team this summer. One of her main purposes for going was to teach a course on Infant Resuscitation to the doctors and nurses at the hospital. This was a need that Dr. Losew became passionate about after her initial visit to the hospital in 2012. These pictures show the demonstration dolls & kits that were purchased by FKH, and Dr. Losew and Dr. Elisee teaching the class. Dr. Losew is tentatively planning another trip to Burundi to teach another class in early 2017.

Washing Machine Project

Thanks to the generous donations of our friends & supporters, we have enough funds to order the new commercial washing machine for the hospital. However, we have now been informed that the government in Burundi is going to charge us $6,000 in taxes on it.

We do not have these funds on hand. Would you consider making a donation by the end of September to help with this unexpected expense?

Donations can be sent to Friends of Kibimba Hospital, c/o Connie Young, 3220 S. Oak St., Wichita, KS 67217. Thank you!
